Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace you have been saved through Faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
God’s grace is abundant. From the beginning of time, God knew that his creation would fall to sin. And, as always, God was right. That is why He destroyed His creation with a flood in the book of Genesis and implemented, through Moses, a system of sacrifices and offerings that atoned for sin in the book of Leviticus. However, imperfection does not triumph imperfection, only perfection can do that. The same goes for the atonement of sin. The imperfect blood of bulls and goats could not rid the world of sin, only the perfect blood of Jesus could do that. So, through His grace, He developed a master plan to rid humanity of their sins. That plan ended with Jesus’ death on the cross. The only thing left for us to do: Accept that sacrifice and follow Jesus Christ, the sin bearer of humanity. Today, thank God for the wonderful gift He gave us in His son and accept that gift before it is too late.
