Proverbs 18:13 says, “He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him.”
How many times, in our lives, have we taken a tidbit of information and from that jawbone, constructed an entire skeleton? We don’t know all the facts, but we take what little we do know and build an entire story around that little piece of information. What does the writer of Proverbs say about this matter? “…It is folly…” , or foolish and shameful. It’s important to learn all of the facts before we draw conclusions from those facts. And, even then, it is sometimes better to keep our opinions to ourselves rather than to voice those opinions to others. Today, practice some self-control in your Faith and learn all of the facts before drawing conclusions from those facts.
