John 8:12 says, “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the World. Whoever follow me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” (NKJV)
There is one truth about light: You cannot have light without electricity. I can hold a light bulb in my hand, but it will not produce light unless there is a source that brings the light to the lightbulb. A lightbulb is useless without electricity.
The same applies to our Christianity. Jesus is light and without Jesus, we have no light. One of the three representations of light, within the Bible, is life. When God was creating the universe, He first made… Light (Gen. 1:3) Why? Because, with light, life thrives but without light, life cannot thrive. Light makes life possible. By following salvation and, in turn, following Jesus, we inherit our Christian light. Through Him, we have light. If you are not a Christian, inherit your light today. If you are a Christian, you have inherited that light. But, the question is: Are you using that light? You should, because that light is directly attributed to your eternal life. If you don’t use your Christian light, at the end of your earthly life, don’t expect to be given eternal life.
